Exciting Photography
I couldn't put the book down the first time I
saw it! The photography was beautiful...and the race
must have been very exciting. It was fun to travel
with this crew through the documentary of their journey.
I got to travel the world without ever leaving home.
How nice is that? But even if I hadn't read a word,
the photography said it all. A must for those who
enjoy seeing other countries and cultures.

Great Documentary Photography
The Adventure Continues documents a truly miraculous
air race across the globe. Stunning photographs and
an accompanying journal provide a glimpse into this
monumental trek - not only from above but also as
the crew roam the streets of the cities of six continents
between stages of the race. Having read and purchased
many travel and photography books - I can honestly
say that The Adventure Continues is unparalleled in
its use of photography. Congratulations to the entire
team - specifically to Stewart who captured the true
essence and excitement of such a journey.

The pages turned by themselves . . .
The Adventure Continues is a book which contains
pages and pages of dreaming images that beckon one
to flip page after page. It might not be a race the
every day person could ever partake in, but this collection
of photos and text allows the reader to experience
the flight as if riding with the crew. I would recommend
this book to anyone who has looked up into the sky
to admire the rush of a airplane and dream about where
its weightless journey is off to.

Great photography
"The Adventure Continues" is a spell-binding
account of the Campbell crew's amazing journey around
the globe, as seen through the eyes of the young and
gifted photographer/writer Samaruddin Stewart. With
beautiful colour photographs and thoughtful commentary,
the author takes you on a wonderful 50-day trip.

The Adventure Continues is a must
see AND read. Samaruddin Stewart's photos of the 2001
Great Air Race and the Campbell Air Race Team are
amazing. The accompanying journal entries tell a story
that goes beyond the beautiful photography from around
the world. Readers can take part in the race, as well
as join in on the side trips the group made along
the way - including a visit to the U.S.S. Harry Truman
aircraft carrier. But the trip was not just a pleasant
journey. Another team enroute to the race crashed
off the coast of Iceland, there were problems with
airplane fuel and parts and some tense moments in
the air and on the ground. Don't miss this one.

Tremendous example of cultural photography
'The Adventure Continues' is a wonderful, aesthetic
look at earth's diverse cultures through one man's
eyes. I couldn't help but marvel at how much beauty
was observed in such a short time. This book will
make you want to travel!

places I will probably never see up close. I feel
like I've traveled the world in 280 pages. I discover
new things every time I pick this book up. Its fascinating.
It must have been an amazing experience. The photos
are brilliant and tell a story every step of the way.
This book is a must have for anyone interested in

A great trip
I've always wanted to take a trip around the world,
but for now at least, I'll have to do it vicariously
through the fascinating photos in this book. It's
a real treat to be able to see the places these guys
went without having to spend hour upon hour in an
airplane seat. My son also loves thumbing through
the book, seeing the exotic places and especially
looking at the various airplanes that were involved
in the race. I can't wait to give this to my globe-trotting
father-in-law as a Christmas gift.

A Wonderful Pictoral Journal
Mr. Stewart's photographic talent is abundantly evident
as the reader opens each new page in this book. His
pictoral essay of this remarkable journey captures
not only the thrills of this adventure of flight,
but also the mundane challenges of the day to day
competition. I recommend it for any flight enthusiast-or
for the person wanting a unique book for their coffee
table.

The Chance of a Lifetime!
Have you ever wondered how it would feel to be a bird
soaring over the world? This book answers that question
for you! Not only was this an historical race, it
was an adventure that few of us will ever have the
privilege to experience. What an opportunity! A trip
around the world in a strikingly unique airplane with
lots of beautiful, exotic, and little known places
to see and photograph! Whether your interest is in
the race, airplanes, history, travel or art, they
all are captured in this beautiful diary by a talented
young photojournalist! This is a "MUST read" for ANY

The Adventure - A Wonderful Treat
There is a photo in "The Adventure Continues: London
to Sydney Air Race 2001" of Ahu Tongariki, the
largest collection of intact Moai statutes, that is
absolutely mesmerizing: one can look at the photo
for hours admiring the beauty of the island and the
talent of the photographer. This photo is not an exception
- there are actually hundreds equally beautiful in
this extraordinary book reporting a journey of more
than 50 days around the world. Together with a detailed,
journal-like narration of those days the book offers
a very visual modern version of Jules Verne's "Around
the World in 80 days." Going through the book one
becomes a part of the crew, the air race and the journey
before and after. One learns not only about the world's
geography, but also about the many cultures, traditions
and in fact, aviation. The stories and photos behind
take the reader along to the many places the crew
visited, to meet the many people they met. "The Adventure"
simply offers a wonderful travel account that cannot
be compared to any other.

Aviation, travel, photography this book has it
all
"The Adventure Continues" is a wonderful description
of one team's experience in the 2001 London-Sydney
Air Race. The talented photography and writing allow
the reader to join the crew on their adventure in
the Grumman Albatross from the United States to London
then along the Kangaroo Route and back to the United
States via the South Pacific and South America. The
photography is impressive and I enjoyed reading along
as the Campbell Air Race team dined with royalty,
escaped disaster twice, visited a military carrier,
landed in Sydney Harbor and received a pardon from
Australia's Prime Minister, and traveled to the small
island of Rapa Nui, or Easter Island. I would highly
recommend this book for anyone interested in aviation,
travel or photography!

For all interested in aviation
The book follows a group of flyers as they retrace
the "Kangaroo Route" (flown from London England to
Sydney Australia) in their 1954 Grumman Albatross.
The Albatross, a large amphibious aircraft, and several
other aircraft retraced the Kangaroo Route in an Air
Race to commerate Australia's 100th Birthday. The
book begins with a history of the Kangaroo Route.
It then follows the Albatross as they ferry the aircraft,
first across the United States and then across the
Atlantic Ocean, to England. Once in England the Air
Race is begun. Along the way, they travel from England
to France, then to Greece, through the Middle East,
India and Indonesia. After several stops in Australia,
they continue on across the South Pacific to New Zealand,
the Cook Islands and Tahiti. They even make a stop
on Easter Island! From there it is to Peru in South
America and north through the Central American countries
of Panama and Belize. From there they finally are
back in the United States. The photography is spectacular
as are the descriptions of the various places the
crew visited. Get this book and check it out! You
won't be disapointed.
